A unique horse experience in the north of Ibiza
Ibiza Horse Valley is one of the few places in Europe where a fully integrated, free-roaming herd lives in natural conditions who out of free will decide to engage with humans.
Located in the North of Ibiza in the Natural Park of Es Murta, Ibiza Horse Valley was founded in 2010. We rescue horses from abuse, abandonment, and exploitation.
We run a rehabilitation program that supports horses in returning to their natural instincts - free from pressure, performance, and productivity. They are not here temporarily: this is their forever home.
Our horses live in a herd that mirrors their natural environment. The Valley is a living testament to what becomes possible when horses are given time, space, and the freedom to be.
Ibiza Horse Valley stands for more than a rescue and horse charity: we are actively advocating for a different way of being with horses. One based on relationship over dominance and presence over performance.

All our experiences are shaped by one guiding principle: to deepen the understanding of horses and restore a more natural, respectful relationship between humans and horses.
The experiences we organise are one of the main sources of financial support to cover all expenses for the care and food of our horses. Participating in a experience equals a donation. From day immersions to therapy with horses, we offer a variety of ways to experience the presence of our free-roaming herd.
OUR HERD
Every horse at Ibiza Horse Valley comes from a background of hardship, and most are rescued from abuse, neglect, or abandonment. They come from many different backgrounds and parts of the world, arriving in Ibiza after various turns in their lives.
When a horse joins the valley, it is for life. We do not rehome or separate them. Instead, they become part of a tight-knit herd: a community where bonds run deep and each individual finds their place at their own pace.
Our herd is a living, breathing example of resilience, trust, and relational healing.
RESEARCH AND EDUCATION
The Valley is a living research ground, a place where new ways of being with horses and nature are continuously unfolding. Through years of observing our free-roaming herd, we’ve seen what becomes possible when natural behaviour is restored and horses are no longer controlled but are allowed to live as they were meant to.
Our work bridges a diversity of fields such as horse-herd behaviour, ethical horse care, equine therapy, somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, longevity, trauma-informed healing, and neuroscience.
